Enbrel & Sinuses - Gross | Arthritis Information

I'm on Enbrel and my sinuses are hurting right around my nose, under my eyes.  I'm waking up with my nose full of hard green crusty stuff. (GROSS!) I don't have a fever.  Could this be allergies or should I call my doc?  I know I probably shouldn't ask you guys, but I just really don't want to call my GP.
green usually means an infection. Call your doc to be sure.Hi,

I take Humira and have found that one of the side effects for me is lots of sinus issues and if you don't keep thinks in check you can easily get a sinus infection that just gets worse.  I would call your doctor because what you are describing sound like it is an infection (the green stuff)  I too had a lot of sinus issues on Enbrel and Humira. It usually is getting stuffy and building up. What stopped it for me was eating hot spicy food or wasabe when I feel the build up. It is the only thing that gets the eye/head sinus part. Using saline nose spray for the more close to the surface snot.

ok-this is gross too but it works. In the shower using a clean washcloth, in warmer, hotish water fill washcloth with water put to your face and gently breath in via your nose. Blow your nose. Shower and towards the end, again fill washcloth with shower water and gently breath in through your nose. That should get your nose running for an hour or two getting a lot of that junk out.

Go see your doctor. if it's a sinus infection you're best to stop the enbrel.   And then go buy a neti-pot.   I swear it helps keep your sinus's cleaned out.
