For those little people who count.....big peoples probs will not spoil their Halloween!!
Brings back memories Ybor City. I grew up in Tampa. Moved to Rochester NY 4 years ago. I do miss Guavaween and Gasprilla.

Halloween will suck for me this year - since this is the first year we are not doing our haunted house. Our whole family is struggling with it - no one knows what to do with themselves on Halloween!
I do remember the Halloween following 9/11. We were all still in shock and aching from it, and I almost cancelled our haunted house. I was feeling really uncomfortable about it, but my kids convinced me to go ahead with it. We incorporated a couple of things about Bin Laden "Resting in Pieces", etc. and went ahead, not knowing how people would feel about it.
We had one of our biggest years, with more people coming through than we had ever had at that point. I think these traditional escapes from reality are important and goodness knows, I love Halloween for that!

Karen, I'm really sorry that your family isn't doing the haunted house. It was so wonderful for the kids and the community. Your family absolutely loved doing the house. You must be wandering around kind of sad about now. Do you have plans for Halloween. We're going to be traveling and will be in Mazatlan, Mx. for Halloween but I have candy filled Halloween bags for everyone we're traveling. I'll do a little magic on the beach on All Hollows Eve.
