Need some advice | Arthritis Information
My neck, shoulders and back are so stiff and sore this morning I can hardly move. My wrists are also extremely sore. I have called the Dr but he has not called me back. I do not go in until the 22nd. My right wrist is visible swollen and I can barely make a fist.
I also have a headache (I think tension from my neck and back hurting) I have taken my Tylenol, Relafen and Pred, but nothing is helping. It has not ever been this bad and I am scared. I can't leave work because I took off yesterday for 3 hours to take my daughter to the Dr to get her cast off (she broke her foot), and we have Congressional Staffers visiting.
Any suggestions? My range of motion is very impaired at the moment.
can you go get a massage and see if that at least helps the neck and shoulders. Its amazing how painful tight muscles can be. If not try to get some heat on the neckI am so sorry Waiting for a call back is such a drag when you are feeling so bad.
Hopefully the Doc will call soon and can offer you some help. I agree with buckeye that if possible some heat on your neck and over you shoulder area might really help.
hugs to you I won't be home until like 7 or 8 tonight, maybe can get hubby to massage it on my lunch break. I have tried stretching and that helps some but only temporarily. I think if it is still hurting this bad when I get home I will beg for some icy hot massage therapy from hubby. I will also try heating pad (before the icy hot) and see if that helps.
Sounds really painful and if you can't go home I don't think there's much you can do at work. Have you taken max Relafen? Maybe you'll get some relief when you take the next dose. Take care. LindyI started massaging the right side with my left hand and it feels a lot better, unfortunately my right wrist hurts too much to massage the left side, but I'll get hubby to do it at lunch. My head still hurts though.
