Magnet therapy? | Arthritis Information

I know it may sound like a hoax but I'm open to anything that would prevent moving on to more intense meds.  Anyone try magnet therapy?  If so, what form was it (bracelets, mattress pads, etc) and what were the results?

I would recommend the bracelets.  I found immediate relief, before I ever had to go on meds for my wrist.  I don't use the really expensive one's we just get them at the market for .  This guy who sells them has such a wide variety,  and I get the decorative one's that look like tennis bracelets,  so I've had lots of compliments on it.

I went for physical therapy here in Croatia where magnet therapy was one of my therapies.  It helped my back immensely.  It is not something I would do on my own, I would be too afraid I would place the magnets wrong.

Most of the time what you believe will help you, will help you.

I went for a thing called the Jaffe-Mellor technique at my Traditional Chinese Therapy, which I thought was sort of Woo-Woo (I tried it because my extended health insurance covered it). I suspended my disbelief and found it actually helped quite a bit.All very interesting responsed because just yesterday, I happened upon some bracelets at WalMart for only . I seriously did NOT think it would work so I tried very hard to pick one out that no one would know was "therapeutic" so I wouldn't feel like an idiot.  Actually very pretty pewter that I liked even if it didn't work!  Within a couple of hours, I realized I hadn't even noticed my almost constant wrist pain on my right wrist.   Every night, I wake up to shooting, burning pain that I generally have to get up and take something for so that I can finish my night with some rest.  Last night, I woke up and the rest of my joints were hurting but my right one was pain free as if someone had rinsed the RA away.  It was amazing!  Today, I haven't even noticed that wrist except for when I was trying to help my neices and nephews climb a tree and even that was minimal and afterwards, I didn't have residual pain.

It may all be in my head but I've been extremely surprised considering I seriously thought I was wasting except as a mere accessory.    I'm going to try it again tonight but switch wrists and see if there is a difference in the other one this time.

If I continue seeing this pattern after a couple of weeks, I want to look into the mattress setup if I can find a "risk free" offer.
my BIL use to sell magnet products... they are quite expensive..  I have the shoe inserts which make my shoes feel so much heavier... and I haven't used them since my flare last year.
Maybe I'll do an experiment next weekend and put them in my shoes..
I'll let you know how the work!!

I've heard lots of people swear by the bracelets...
they also them at wallgreens pretty cheap alsoI tried a bracelet and it irritated the skin and caused pain.  Mercola had these articles in January of this year.
