Vioxx | Arthritis Information

Well another virus so once again I had to change my login from Less13 to Leslie 13  and nowto  Leslie131.

I have been in a flare for the past week due to the colder weather. Nothing was helping so I was considering MTX ( thanks to all of you for your great info!). I got out my secret stash ( the last remaing Vioxx that I may ever see) and took one and the next day I was back to normal! Took one again last night, GREAT day today.

It is absolutly amazing what that drug was doing for so many people. I read a poll and it said that if it was on the market again 76 percent of the people who had taken it for arthritis would take it again, in spite of the warnings.

Glad you had those last few vioxx. I never took it...I took celebrex years ago and didn't find it to be my wonder drug....but I'd have to agree with the 76% that said they'd take it despite the warnings.

I'd feel the same way if something worked that well for me.

Definatley consider the MTX...it's been my wonder drug; but it's not for everyone. The change in weather is effecting all of us right now I think.

Take care Leslie.

Vioxx worked WONDERS for me too. I found out this past summer that a friend of mine had a whole bag of samples she never took. She was amazed I was so excited, and I was sort of laughing thinking I never thought I'd be such a druggie! LOL. But...the great yet FRUSTRATING part was that it made everything SOOO much better, and now its gone. Ieven looked online to see if I could find it anywhere to order But...I heard that they may be re-releasing Bextra on a "as needed" basis for people who nothing else worked as well, and have them sign a waiver. Maybe Vioxx will follow????? Lets keep our fingers crossed!

You can count me as part of that 76%.  I

Vioxx is my friend...and my stash is slowly dwindling too.

I hate to say this but all the meds I have taken have not done as good of a job at keeping me as near normal, as possible with RA, than what Vioxx has done for me.  Isn't that a bummer?

We can not get it cause it may cause us to have heart problems.  So the other meds. don't?

I wonder if there is away to get it back on the market?  and soon...

It is too bad that you cant sign a release and take the Vioxx at your own risk. I also HATE the changes in weather. Who need a weatherman when you have RA.....LOL

I was listening to CNN this morning and they where commenting on the news about the Vioxx verdict that came down yesterday not being the reason for the New Jersey mans medical problems and that the company may try and get it back on the market because of that verdict..  I am going to keep my fingers and toes crossed and a prayer on my tongue that they can some day down the road...I not only have RA but I suffer from OA too and the Vioxx was the miracle I needed for that.

I have always been incline to believe what my body was saying to me than what the weather people where telling us.  Prove to be more accurate...

Hope evryone has a WONDERFUL weekend.

Toni
