I have recently been diagnosed with RA. Had a RA factor of 85. I think that is high. For the past several years I kept telling the Dr about my pain. He blew me off. I got a new Dr and told him. He blew me off. I hurt my shoulder and went to the ortho Dr and he asked me if I had Fibro and sent me to a Rheumatologist. Surprise! I have RA. Now I cant work because of the pain and limited mobility. I have some serious fatigue. Some days I feel really awful. Some days are better. I get really depressed. Maybe if I had not been blown off years ago I could have been started on medication to slow this down. I am so frustrated.

WELCOME LESLE,

I ALSO AGREE WITH LOVIE. THE PAST IS OVER. I'M SURE YOUR RD WILL FIND SOME COMBO OF MEDS TO MINIMIZE YOUR SYMPTOMS.I ALWAYS LOOK AT THE PROBLEMS THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH AND THAN SEE THAT MINE AREN'T THAT BAD. I'D LIKE TO FEEL HOW I FELT 10 YEARS AGO, BUT THAT WONT HAPPEN AND I HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE CARDS I'M DEALT TODAY. I FINALLY LEARNED TO NOT SAY,"WHY ME?" TODAY I CAN SAY,"WHY NOT ME?"

EVEYONE OF US HAS LEARNED OR IS LEARNING TO DEAL WITH OUR CONDITION, AND WHILE RA DOESN'T MAKE LIFE A SUNNY  DAY AT THE BEACH, LIFE IS GOOD!

HANG IN THERE. EVERYONE HERE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED IT!

MANY PAINLESS DAYS FOR YOU, DON

I only the things i want to. Why do things your really do not want to do and cause yourself pain and stiffness. If, gardening is your thing do it and hire someone to clean your house. For most people with RA we know some day we will be confided to a wheel chair or bed. Sodo not waste time! Enjoy everything you can will you are still mobile! My grandma as RA, she was always doing this and that and never cleaned her house or iron a shirt. When i was a kid i thought OMG! what is up with this?? She would alway tell people life is to short enjoy while you can. Now at 80 she is limited. But, she and i both has lots of great memories! Good Luck! and keep us posted. Gina
