We are winding down our vacation in Florida. It snowed 18 inches where we live in Montana so I'm dreading having to leave here. The weather is absolutely wonderful, people are very friendly. Accomodations are also better than expected. I hate to leave this and go back to the cold. My joints have felt so good since being here. If you're on vacation, what in the world are you spending your time on the internet for?I moved away from Florida where I lived all my life because it is waaaay too hot and humid. I live in Rochester NY now, which is a little too cold for me. We are actually looking at moving to Ashville NC in the next couple of years.Lori, I'm taking over for you. I'm heading down to Ft Lauderdale on Saturday. I'm dreading the heat and humidity, but planning to have a nice time anyway. Lori, I'm with you I really love Florida. I lived in Gainsville for a couple of years - school but I prefer the beach areas. I'm glad you're having a great time. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Florida has some strange laws. The homestead of any value is protected from a civil judgment which is why O.J. Simpson lives in Florida, why the civil judgment in the wrongful death suit for the death of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman hasn't been collected. California protects homestead up to I think ,000, but ANY VALUE???????? Strange.
