Has anyone been given Durolane as a relief from Ostioathritis.

Whilst at work I slipped on some stripped wallpaper and fell down stairs. This was in July of this year and I aint worked since. I had an operation in August to repair a damaged cartilage, the piece of cartilage removed was quite large and I now have bone on bone. This has now give me increasing pain and I have been told not to return to my job as a plasterer but apply for a lighter job, not as easy as it seems.   I have been on pain killers which gives some form of relief but only a temporary one.   My surgeon has told me about Durolane, a liquid that lubricates and cushions the cartilage giving instant pain relief.   The length of relief depends on what type of job you have or if your still going to be as athletic as before.   As for me, should I be able to be given a lighter role at work the treatment they said would last about 8 months.  The surgeon also stated it`s quite painful to be given this injection into the knee but as he stated, it aint the end of the world.
