OT - Cervical Cancer Virus Vaccination | Arthritis Information

For some reason, it didn't hit me until I was reading about the controversy of vaccinating young girls to prevent cervical cancer that is caused by a virus.

It finally hit me - cancer is a virus?  Isn't this like the motherlode of finding the cause of cancer, and it's a virus?

So then, a virus isolated in the gut (reovirus) can cause cancer?  My passion, good colon health - its the key to disease and good health.  Leaky guts, constipation from inflammation for RAers, bad diet full of sugar and lack of fiber, ad nauseum, all contributing to our poor health.

I am really puzzled here, is this the first time that cancer has been connected to a virus?

Kaposi's sarcoma is one - I think it's caused by a herpesvirus; it's prevalent in immunocompromised patients (such as AIDS patients) Oh and the hepatitis viruses ..and not all cervical cancers are caused by HPVHPV only cuases one kind of cervical cancer.

Cathy - there is a guy firmly convinced of the viral link.  Alan Cantwell, I think is his name, and the book he wrote is "The Cancer Microbe".  He is considered fringe and I have the book but have no time to read it.

Also - look at the chart at the bottom -
