I am a newbie! I am finding this site to be most helpful. I have a question about pain in my ovaries. I had a catscan last week because of pain on my right ovary. The test came back all clear which left me still feeling pain and confused. I noticed a site, which spoke of Enbrel being used in Germany to treat Ovarian cancer. It stated that Enbrel changes the cell struture of the Ovaries. It started me thinking, could Enbrel cause complications on healthy Ovaries? Also I am Menopausal.
Hi Ivy....welcome. Try posting in the RA section of the board. Often people don't check down this low in the thread to see if anyone has posted anything new...you'll find more activity there.
I'm 34 and have had RA for about 12 years now....maybe longer; but dx'ed 12 years ago. I've also already gone through menopause. I recently had an ultrasound done due to female type trouble...including unexplained pain. The ultrasound showed everything was fine. I wonder if RA itself causes unexplain pain at times? Maybe....it's thought to have caused me to go through menopause very early. They can't confirm it...they said it could have also been the medication I take and have taken for many years now.
I do take Humira though...so I'd be interested to know if it could cause such problems.
