Nice Halloween story | Arthritis Information

Awhile ago I was in the U.C.L.A. hospital on Halloween.  The nurses were taking the hospitalized children in their wheelchairs and IV's around to the various offices to trick or treat.  So the kids got to trick or treat even though they were in the hospital.  Great nurses!!!!!!!!!!!!When my daughter was young and I was her Girl Scout Leader, we took the girls to a nursing home in their costumes.  We went door to door in the nursing home, "Reverse Trick or Treating", delivering oatmeal/raisin cookies the girls had baked the day before.  It was a great way to celebrate Halloween, and the nursing home residents loved seeing the kids in their costumes. He was just there yesterday and we took his Peds Rheumy some stuff to wear on Halloween to get the kids happy halloweening Hill-

Nice story.  I'm sure the nursing home residents were thrilled to see the kids.

Yes, U.C.L.A. does a good job.  A friend was a surgical nurse there doing heart and liver transplants, now retired.

Hill,

I must have been posting at the same time.  I just want to say, that is lovely

Jan L, that is a tough place to be but I know the rewards far outweigh the heart ache.  Just knowing the folks that work there I can imagine what a wonderful person this is.

I have to say we have only every encountered greatness there from the people making the apts on the phone, to techs, to students and of course the docs.  They are the first on my list of things to be thankful for
