celebrex | Arthritis Information

I see that some lawsuits have been settled recently with Celebrex. My docor just started me on it to see if it helped more than generic mobic. I can see a very slight improvement but the lawsuit is troublesome- it had to do with heart attack risk. My Rd says all nsaids carry the risk but I don't see lawsuits with Motrin, mobic, or naproxen. Is anyone else concerned with celebrex? I had a spectacular vaginal bleedout after 10 days of celebrex from a horrifying work comp case.  I will never touch it again.  I looked into the lawsuits, and it wasn't worth the time.  Ruined a couch however :(Justsaynomore: That must have been scary. I didn't see anything about bleeding, just heart attack and stroke. Do you take any nsaids now? Yes, I used Aleve, which I researched and discovered its the best one for RA.  This happened in 2001, and I had full gyno workup (including a picture of the inside I could review) and there was nothing there.  The primary laughed at me when I said it was the Celebrex (pre-recall, I could punch her in the nose she was such an elitist).  At that point I had been on synthroid for ten years and this was the extent of my drug usage, and the only drug I had ever take long term, other tha periodic antibiotics and pain killers from 16 car accidents (don't ask :).  So it wasn't syntroid, the only new thing was the Celebrex.   And I never had a period again, that was the last one, so I had a lucky menopause.  It was all very strange and VERY SCARY, especially with my DES exposure.  Good luck.
