I am also very interested in the Meditteranean diet as well.My rd put me on an omega 3 diet. I eat fish and chicken along with lots of veggies. Cabbage, green beans, brussel sprouts, lettuce, and other foods high in omega 3. I started 3 weeks ago and have lost 14 pounds! I feel better. I am much more used to the diet now. At first, I was not liking it but I stuck with it and after a few days it becomes routine and easy. I been making alot of shrimp stir-frys in my wok. YUMMY!CinDee,

Congrats on losing the 14 lbs!!!!!  All those foods sound good to me.  With the change in weather/seasons, I'm starting to eat more winter squash -- butternut, acorn, a japanese named one -- I melt a bit of butter with a bit of honey and/or brown sugar and ginger and add to the squash.  Even my 5 yr old grandnephew eats butternut squash this way, and he's picky!
