I'm a newbie to this forum and I have a question about methotrexate and folic acid. I have just been dx with RA and my rhumie just put me on methotrexate and folic acid. I just took my third week of methotrexate and I have been getting headaches and upset stomaches the day after I take it. What can I do to prevent these side effects? Also, why do I need the folic acid?
