Hey Everybody hope you all are feeling alright, i havnt been so great myself and have loads of questions for you all, bunches of wierd pains and stuff
ok first one i think is just tendonitis, what do you think...this has happened before, at least the same pain, i often have elbow pain that does not feel like my reg joint pain, it also hurts all up and down forearm and into thumb and fingersmy hands cramp a lot and just hurt, last year at one point for about a week i couldnt hold anything in one arm it hurt to make a grip and lift anything regardless of how light, this time in my opposite arm-go figure i also couldnt hold anything and could not rotate my arm so that my palms were face up...my friend has tendonities and often cant do that eiter and my rheumy at one poin just wrote off my pain and was like yea its just tendonitis.....but what do you think?
also lately my wrists have been cracking more than normal. i know my doc always says cracking is fine, but it hurts not to roll my wrist and when i do they crack continuesly, they never stop and they hurt, its been an issue holding my hands in certain positions like writing and playing the clarinet, what do you think?
finally ive written before about this wierd pain i have on my scalp, its a very strong intense pain almost like burning and is on the back of my scalp, the last week or so though i have had more of this pain in addition to a different but similar pain on one side of my scalp back behind my ear, i am not sure how to describe the pain but its very frustrating as i dont know what it is and my doc just looks at me like im crazy. anyway i hope you guys can give me some opinions obviusly i know you dont really know whats going on :)

in other news my joints have been awefull but really what else is new? im keeping busy and staying productvie regardless but the fatigue has really been getting in my way. cant wait to hear from you, your support means a lot to me!I'm so sorry you are in so much pain.  The wrist cracking and pain could be causing the pain in your forearms.  Does your Doc know the cracking has become constant?  We all have snaps, crackles and pops but when it is constant like that and painful it should be checked into. How long has it been since you've had xrays or an mri of your wrists?

I don't know about the scalp burning/pain, that sounds awful.  I wish I could be of some help to you.  I just wanted to tell you I'm here and I am so sorry you are feeling so bad.

When is your next apt?
hey there little mermaid! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I don't really know about what you are experiencing so I can't really offer advice. I do know that RA affects your tendons & ligaments along with your joints so it could still be related.
Hang in there! How is school going? How are your grades?
It does sound like tendonitis in your hands...I have had RA related trouble with that.  Not sure about the other stuff though!  Hope you feel better, and have a good weekend! :)I am sorry your not well. It can be a struggle. I definetly have tendon problem. They hirst and are sore like the dickens. Especially around the ankles. It helps a little when I get cortisone injections in the joints. Seems to ease the tend.on pain. Wish you the very best and cant help but to HUGGGGGGG a mermaidthanks guys, i will def tell my doc about my wrists and all, she has no clue about the scalp stuff though, but im not sure she understands that the wrist cracking is pretty constant...my appointment isnt for another month when i go home. school is going well though, i am getting better grades this year-even A's! although i think my classes are easier MUCH easier, no organic chem :) labs are easier too only physics lab and i get to sit for all of that, next semester ill have a lot more since im working in a lab but ill deal. im in a single room so its easier for me to sleep when i need to which is good. so yea school is good, my joints are just reallllly bad. Good job little mermaid! You can be proud with all that is going on you have still been able to do well! A single room- how nice!

Hope your doctor can get to the bottom of your pains and give you relief. Keep us posted!
Hang in there!  I've had a couple of things similar to yours.  When I had pain going up and down my arm, I thought it was carpel tunnel.  However, it was related to my shoulder.  A shot in the bursa relieved it almost immediately.  As for your wrists, have you had injections in them before?  They make a huge difference for me.  My hands, wrists, thumbs get fatigued quickly.  All I want to do is lay them on a feather pillow when they feel like that.  Unfortunately that doesn't work very well when I am driving!   I don't have a lot of visible swelling, but a general fluish feeling in my wrists and hands.  The injections really help, maybe this would give you some relief.  I don't know about the pain in your head, but I just wanted to say don't let your doctor brush it off.  Keep asking about it until you get an answer.  I hope you get some relief soon.

Dawn
Sorry you feel so rotten. I remember how hard it was to have RA in college.

I there anyway you could go to an urgent care clinic for a systemic cortisone shot?  I know when I was in school, that could be a lifesaver.  I think the dr. felt sorry for me since I was away from home and would call my RD.

My mom has fibro and she says that her scalp hurts.  It is almost like it is supersensitive.  She has been taking lyrica(I think) and that has helped that situation.

Big hug to you...

Hi Mermaid! Good job on the grades! I had something similiar to what you have with your arm. It was my shoulder/rotator cuff causes me problems. I also think you should see about a cortizone shot if you can. They help me for a long while.

I wish you well and soon!
