if you value this (your) site, then I suggest you get your arse here post haste and sort out the migratory problems and seriously consider paying someone not connected to the board, or with RA, to come and moderate.
You will lose a source of income otherwise and one assumes that in this current financial/political climate, that is NOT desirable if it can be avoided?? Notwithstanding of course that these forums have been of immeasurable help to so many.
So? A reply or some action would be pertinent about now.

( you might take a look at the ISP's of each member too as it seems there is someone Hell bent on taking over some regulars user names with a slight change and causing a wee stir! And what sick little person he/she is!)

Be careful what you wish for...a moderator might take the above as a threat and dismiss you from the board.
You know, this will pass, just like everything else does on this board. Don't open the posts you don't want to read, it is really that simple. You only have control over yourself, why try to change something that you have no control over?

There are MANY disgruntled people here and it dont matter a rats arse whether they read the offending threads or not, the atmosphere has changed in the very short time that even I have been here.
In the end, I would rather participate with a group of people who stick to the agenda or have gentle OT threads. That agenda is how we deal with/cope with/medicate etc our RA problems. There are a myriad of places on the Web for those with political bones to pick to go vent their thoughts and spew racist comments.
And BTW, I dont give a sh*t if the powers that be ( lolol...and where the Hell are they when ya need them?) ban me from here...I have already signed up elsewhere and it sure wont keep me from a good nights sleep.

To solve all the "off topic" problems maybe you should place an OT section in the Forum List, that way the "liberal clique" can post their rubbish and no one else is forced to even see OT's in each forum.

Ernest - you might consider pulling the back ups of the Colin Powell thread and looking at the unedited versions compared to the (still hateful) remaining versions. Your action, or inaction, will determine the future of this site in who is staying and who is leaving.

Let's see, this forum is the number one arthritis forum in the United States and probably the world. The reason for that is that there is so many car crashes. So much drama. Those that wish for a moderator are looking for someone to stifle those that they don't like. Those that want a moderator are well aware of all the forums that are moderated. Mother Waddles used to waddle in every week inviting our members to her moderated site where you become a family with family rules and Mother making sure you don't get out of line. Joints Raised was here posting on a daily basis, free advertising her moderated arthritis forum. All of you that ask for a moderated board are asking only for your own malicious reasons. Why do yous constanly want a moderated forum but continue to make this unmoderated forum, "your" forum when there have been many lists of moderated forums? What is your problem with the moderated forums that keep you here at this unmoderated forum trying to change this number one forum. Yous are trying to silence those you don't like. So many get into what is considered controversial topics and then cry foul when they don't like the controversies that they chose to engage in. The bottom line is, why do yous stay at a unmoderated forum and not at a moderated forum and then try to turn this wonderful forum into a forum like the moderated forums that end up with a few "family" members that must approve every one that trys to enter? Yous have so many choices for a moderated forum, go for it. See how many people are there besides the moderater and her "friends". Pammy416 is another one that's sick of all the negativity and is another threatening to leave. Go ahead. What other forum is going to allow you to "free" advertise your trinkets as you have done here at this forum for two years in your signature line, which moderated forum Pammy? You actually used to post pictures of it trying to sell your trinkets without paying for advertising. Why do the crybabies constantly threaten to leave? Look at all the members that are still here that have threatened to leave in the past two years. Most just are looking to "win" and want the members to beg them to stay. Believe me, if they leave, this forum will still be number one and as usual, those members that leave will be back, still trying to change the forum. They don't have that freedom at any other forum. So all of you threatening to leave, go ahead. Those of you that want a moderated forum, pick any one of the many. This forum will not only survive without yous but will still be the number one arthritis forum and yous will still be welcomed back without apology or explanation and you will once again be allowed to voice your preferences for a moderated forum. You are right, what you posted wouldn't be allowed at a moderated board. It's not surprising that you want to ban what you don't like but "don't give a sh*t" about what you want to post, because you want to run this forum. We LyndeeNZ, (you included) are so lucky that you have "already" signed up at another forum and yes, that forum is going to be lucky to have such a wonderful person as you. So in short LyndeeNZ, I guess this is your goodbye post, so goodbye, good luck at that "good, moderated" forum that you have signed up at. And Pammy416, if you decide to come back to this forum again, maybe you should consider paying for the advertising like the other advertisers do, know what I mean jelly bean. When all those threatening to leave, actually leave, let's just see how this forum just falls apart. What's holding you members here that want a moderated forum. Why don't you all get together and pick a moderated forum and adios yourselfs out of here. Yous will then be happy at a moderated forum, isn't that your wish? it doesn't take moderators to control a board.. it takes respect for others and no personal attacks.. I've said before I run a small board where we discuss politics openly (among many aspects of our lives) and have a diverse group.... we don't have the kind of behaviors we have recently found here. And, I don't have to correct or delete or edit anyone's comments.
Respect is what is needed here... there are several who don't respect that others can have opinions not in line w/ yours..
