I've been getting this a lot lately.

Anyone else get this or can I assume it's not RA/ meds related?
yes.. I get it.. dry skin . sjogrens'
sides of feet.. tops of hands... on arms..
I assumed it was due to the dry skin .....

is your skin dry?

sometimes I even have little bumps.

No dry skin- you might want to try Olay's shower lotion. I use it on a daily basis in the shower and find my skin to be very hydrated.

I notice this most when I go to bed at night but my palms are itching right now! They don't look abnormal...
I get itchy on my hands upon occasion. My palms will get itchy, and around my thumb joint especially. I have always thought it was from inflammation. I don't necessarily have additional pain or swelling with it, but sometimes I do. For me it is tiny tiny tiny hives.... always caused by stress. I call it my exam rash. well. my mother always told me if your palm itches... itch it toward you... means you'll "come into money"

I thought I heard if your right palm itches you get money if your left palm itches you lose money. As usual the money coming in will be going right out again for me......Don't you hate when you google something you are experiencing and find something scary? I just found this is a symptom of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. Specifically mentioned the itching being at rest and in bed....
It's an autoimmune thing.

Ah well- that doesn't mean it can't be a million other benign things...
that's the trouble w/ old wives tales............ there's no consistency

When I was pregnant, the palms of my hands and soles of my feet began to itch uncontrollably - it was maddening.  There was no rash, no dry skin, and topical creams did nothing to relieve it, nor did meds like Benedryl.  It turned out I had a condition called Intrahepatic Cholestatis of Pregnancy (ICP) - it was a liver problem, and my serum bile acid was elevated.  This condition ONLY occurs during pregnancy, so if you're not pregnant, that's not it.  But it does demonstrate that liver issues can cause this kind of itching, so you should get your liver enzymes and bile acid levels tested.

I hope it's not a liver issue after all, but just thought you should know this.
No- not pregnant but crap- I'm just waiting for my darn blood results to come back. For some reason they are delayed. I'm worried about this liver thing because I was not following doctor's orders of no alcohol with MTX.
I hope I didn't mess myself up.
