I decided to take a 2 day hiatus from Mobic to let my stomach rest.  I am at work today and ooooooooooowwwie that was not a good idea.  It's like this gradual gelling process.  My stomach needed the rest but I need my mobic tomorrow.  My knuckles are turning white when I make fists (I guess that is the effusions or swelling showing?), hands are puffing up, don't want to write or type and it hurts to rest my elbows on anything.  Plus whole body is like eeeeeeeeeeeeeh why did you do that?  At least I have a renewed appreciation for mobic and renewed sense that the fricking mtx isn't working for me.  Waiting on jaw x-ray to decide re biologics...

I heart NSAIDs.  Not as much as Uristat or epidurals, but quite a bit.

what possessed you??  poor thing....

I know how you're feeling. I take my nsaid at night..w/ a snack (usually some dairy) and go to bed... I was without on a Sunday because I forgot to pick up my meds before the pharma closed..... Waking on Monday was HORRIBLE!!

My stomach is still burning.  It's either the virus going around (?) or the plaq.  I am going to call the doctor tomorrow.  I have always taken it right after breakfast without a problem, but recently things have been not good with my stomach...I don't think a virus causes "burning" type feeling does it?  I usually get nauseated.

Do you split your plaquenil in 2 doses?  I take 200 mg with breakfast and 200 mg with dinner.  I always take the plaquenil and my NSAID with a meal.

I'd definitely call your doctor.  No fun, huh?
I think I probably have an ulcer.  I will admit it.  Argh.  First I will deal with the thyroid results.  In any event I'm going to leave a message for RD nurse tomorrow.  It bothers me after I eat.

It was informative to skip Mobic for 2 days.  What hurts more than anything is my elbows.  My wrists and fingers do hurt, even on the left hand, but my elbows are the worst.  Because RD doesn't see inflammation (and I don't have horrible pain) at appts, I have never had x-rays of my elbows.  Can probably wait a while. My left foot is bad too, as usual.

I have only been taking 200 mg a day of plaq, even though I am supposed to take 400.  It's funny I usually have few or no MTX side effects, save 3-4 times in 7 months that it's hit me hard, but plaq is giving me issues!  Guess you never know, it's so specific to the individual.
