Got a letter from my Rhemuey today. Results of my xrays of hands and feet

Not really sure what it means. I will ahve to google. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Except you AA. of course.
Here is what it reads:

Hands: Bone appears intact. Moderate jacket change first CMC joints bilaterally. Otherwise joint space is maintained.

Feet bilaterally Mild pes planus deformity. Bones appear intact. Joint spaces maintained.

So far no evidence of erosion, that is good as we discussed. Hopefully the Plaq will help.

it went on to say recommendation to continue to exercise regularly. See you next visit, continue meds.lalalalaa.
Well any thoughts would be appreciated.

Feels like all my joints are inflamed. I thought xrays would show more joint problem. maybe it takes longer to show uo. i dont know.

Well... your results sound okay (considering) to me. Not really sure. I have not really seen any of my x-ray results, except on of my hands and spine that were done a couple of years back. It was all kinda scary reading those BIG words that I have no idea what they meant or even how to pronounce them. But the gist of my results were hands decreased bone density, and scoliosis curving to the right.

I hope the plaq does work for you.
Thanks Joonie,

I did my google research....and what I found...problem with my hands is in my wrist, thumb (CMC Joints) and it is caused by arthritis..Oh my I was SHOCKED!!!!.....lol
Feet: Fallen Arches...(sorta shocked)...more surprised...Whilst there is more than one cause for this I read it is problem in folks who have RA.....

So I am NOT SCARRRRED of those biggin Words...I have a GOOGLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What preplexes me is all the pain, swelling, stiffness I have in all my joints and not more showed up on x-ray...Does it take years, months??? for narrowing spaces, or Erosions to develop?...............Gosh I hate my type A personality...I am going to have to go back and ask THE ALMIGHTY, THE ALL KNOWING, THE NEVER TIRED, SORE ,
OR B#TCHY......GOOOOOGLER.........(thinking ....I should sacrafice a virgin to the ALMIGHTY...Who here is a Virgin..Who a is Bithcy?...Who is all Knowing?....Who is probably a Virgin?....Oh I have someone in mind...Betcha ya can guess who....)I have a fallen arch, it is my left foot. It fall back when I was a kid dealing with this RA crap. I remember when I was a kid I use to get a lot of pain in bottom of my left foot. You know the pain like your foot is being stretched or something is being stretched? That is what I use to get a lot of. It was quite painful.

I bet I can guess, but... I'll keep mum.

LOL!!!

Well... I hate to say this but... I do not really have much problems with my feet hurting. I did when I started MTX, but soon after I stopped taking MTX my feet were not a problem and have not been since. Now my ankles are another story. they KILL ME!

Last RD visit she wanted a run down of what all bothered me, well of course I named off all the body parts in order of pain & most problems. I named off every joint, except my feet and toes. She thought that odd. But at times, mostly when I stand around a lot, the heels of my feet will hurt.

I actually have not bought a new pair of tennies in over a year. That is odd for me. Because usually the shoes become uncomfortable, but not this time. Longest I have had a pair of shoes in ages!

Oh and was also going to throw this out there... maybe I do not have "problems" with my feet is because of the numbness in my toes and feet from nerve damage? Not sure if that would do it or not, but it seems logical if you think long and hard about while you are trying to fall asleep. Mine started in  the feet.  I have 2 fallen arches--not even sure when it hapened.  I find all the professional orthoics --arch supports--have not helped but I did find that Birkenstock makes some arches you can put in your shoes--and that has been the best.  Funny, one foot dr. told me the birenstock stuff would not help.  I paid 0 for orthocis from him which have long ago been thrown away --and he has been fired by me--but you do need some kind of support.

Also, I am impressed you got a written report of your x-rays.  I have to get a thing in writing.  I think it should be a requirement--not just oh yeah--there are ok.
Mine started in my feet and is still the worst there and in my ankles!

Catnip, I go to Cleveland clinic this doc is awesome she even wrote at the bottom of the letter and I quote.....wait letting me get the letter.................................." I would Love to see you back in 2 months"...I like her. Very personal. Very hip and very kool...Dr. Rocheal Rosian.. Cleveland Solon family clinic...( satellite of the big Clinic)

What is also cool is they have whats called "My Chart" I log in and check my meds, next appointmnet days, request meds, test results ...really a nice feature..Plus i got the real letter, snail mail. I am impressed with the clinic thus far.
Reegie,
Would love to hear any tips you do to help your aching dogs.....mine are barking this am...waiting for vicodin to kick in.....it's like tick..tock..Inflamed, that is wonderful to hear!  Thinking of going to the CC.

I don't have a problem in my feet, except that i now wear Ugg slippers to the grocery store, and anywhere else I go on the weekend.  I guess that could be considered a problem.  Uh, and I gave away all my high heels and only wear flats to work.  My feet hurt, but I can still walk...just not in certain shoes!   I need to take the time to find sneakers that don't hurt my feet.  The arches just never match up with mine and hurt my feet as much as high heels! Got a bunion going on one foot too and OA in the toe of the other foot...
Ugg slippers....cool....I like the way "ugg" sounds. No high heals here either...sadly to say...I love pretty high heal shoes. I slip them on occasionally and admire them...cn't bring myself to get rid of all of them just yet...but walking in them no...been a long time.I wish I had some advice!!  Mine are just awful.  I take a percocet in the early a.m. if pain is really bad which it has been lately.  Hopefully someone has some tips for the both of us!My high heels were ditched a long time ago.  I guess by trial and error you have to find shoes that work for you.  I usually wear clogs --Birkenstock or Clarks--add the arch support to the Clarks--I also found getting socks with a heaver footbed are heaven!  Just a bit more cushion.  However, by the end of the day my feet are horrible.

PS  I love what the CC does with the online records and communication.  That is great.
My feet are most definately worser in the morning.....

Worser...is that even a word?...oh well..I likes the way it sounds......roll it of the tounge...worserrrrrrrrrr
