Hi everyone,

There's been some posts on the boards about "natural" remedies.  It got me to thinking.  Awhile back, I was looking into some of the natural herbs, vitamins, etc. that are supposed to help joints.  A friend of mine in the medical field was all for it, but warned me that some of them can effect blood tests, so I should be careful about using them.  For example, the blood work could show normal, when it really wasn't, or vice-versa.  Has anyone else ever heard of this being a possibility?

Just curious.

Cris

Cris, I don't know anything about their effect on blood tests, but I know they could interact with other meds.  I personally wouldn't take anything without at least checking it out with your pharmacist.

Hi,

Please be careful. The natural herbs, vitamins and things can sometimes help with the pain by lubricating the joints, they will not stop the joint destruction that RA causes. I would and have taken them to get some relief from the pain, but I also continue to take my meds. I want both relief from the pain and the joint destruction slowed down. I agree with Sandy to make sure that your dr knows and approves of everything that you are taking. I don't know anything about whether or not they can affect your blood work.

Some people have found relief with herbs, BUT YOU NEED TO TALK TO YOUR DR BEFORE TAKING ANY HERBS OR OTHER OVER THE COUNTER MEDS!!!  It is important because they may interact with your meds and cause problems big time!!!!  Meme

Ps My rd has me bring in every month a listing of what meds I am on to amke sure everything is fine.  Thsi includes vitamins, herbal meds, over the counter meds

meme38456.5283333333I have been using Prosit now for a few months and have found it to be the best thing on the market when it comes to Natural remedies. I guess it would be a plant form Africa that helps people here in the USA.

I have also been offered a 33% discount on the product due to the fact that I have been giving the owners of Prosit a great deal of feedback.
