Calcium and Rheum Nodules on Wrist | Arthritis Information

2 questions, one post, because DH is waiting for me to get off the computer.

So any strong opinions here about calcium? :) I know there are strong Vit D opinions.  Anyway I am young and my mom has stellar bone mass (she really is big boned) but I have RA and at my last visit my calcium was down from last year.  I figure because I have been on Mobic and therefore PPI's.  So is there any way I can fight calcium loss from PPI's, or is only hope to just get off of them in time?

Also, does anyone have rheumatoid nodules on your wrist, on the side where you take your pulse.  I have a bump on my left wrist right there, a bit towards the pinky side, like a big mosquito bite but not red, not itchy, and not going anywhere (it's been there a few weeks).  Just curious!  Don't have any that I know of, and I was RF negative in January, and I guess RF usually goes with nodules, so...
My RF is also neg and I have a nodule on my left hand about two inches up from my wrist bone.   My Dr said it was from RA, I think he called it a RA nodule.  It goes up and down. He said there wasnt anything I could do about it.
Not sure about the calcium question, sorry.
Thanks!  I figure it may be one...it's sort of mushy and doesn't hurt.

Anyone else know about calcium?  I am trying to work myself out of denial, towards a realization that I can't stay on mobic and PPI's from age 30 for the rest of my life...
gangloid cyst maybe?...I have one on my wrist..comes and goes. size of a blueberry. at least that is what I think it is. Wondering now. I will show it to the rheumy. My family  doc originally said gangloid cyst. Now I wonder. Mine is on inside of wrist but thumb side. Come to think about it that is where the first CMC joints are and my xrays showed moderate changes and  that is where my cyst is. I will definatly ask in December. I have read alot of interesting info on this board today. Thanks everyone.
