I cant remember if I mentioned this before but I had a sleep study done because I was not sleeping well. Now I wear the C-pap at night and I sleep like a rock. I usuallly sleep a good 7 hrs. A good nights sleep makes a big difference I am sure.

That is great news, lesle! Did you know you were nto sleeping well/ I mean, did you remember waking up throughout the night, or was it pain and fatigue that alerted you to the problem. Does sleepng better help with the pain/

I knew I was not sleeping well and I was tired all the time. I could fall asleep at any time of day. I had trouble concentrating. I would go to sleep and wake up on and off all night long. I tried sleep medications. Nothing worked. After I got my sleep study and started wearing the C-pap for a month I started to notice a big difference.

what is a C-pap?It is a machine that forces air into your nose/airway when you stop breathing. You wear a small mask over your nose when you sleep. It was easy getting use to it.

My "adopted" grandpa just got one of these and it hasn't been very effective for him yet.  He says the mask doesn't fit quite right, seems to leak.  Did you have to do any mask adjusting to make it work better?

I was lucky and had a good fit but I know there are different masks and there just has to be a good fit for everyone. Tell your Grandpa that it takes a little time to get use to it but he will feel better in the long run. Tell him to call the people that brouoght him the machine and keep after them till he has a mask that is right.
