Thanks for that Dinky, pity I'm not on methotrexate, as I live near the facility.
There is also a trial for Prof. Ranjeny Thomas' rheumatoid vaccination. If you live in Brisbane you may like to attend her public lecture at the convention centre at Southbank on 19th November http://www.di.uq.edu.au/events#RALecture. She is a very good speaker and is making significant progress with stopping RA in its early stages.
Dinky,
Thanks for bringing that to our attn.

Hi guys, just so you know,I was sent to a new rheumatoid Dr recently for a possible trial, only I couldn't participate due to one of the criteria which was previous allergic type reactions on other trials, just for your info, kind regards Janie.
Edited by me to correct text.
janiefx2008-11-05 01:45:43Thanks for the info Dinky. I'm on MTX and still have swelling. I will give the 1800 number a call. Thanks for this. I am only an hour away from the lecture she is giving. I may try somehow to get there but since I can't drive a long way because RA it will be a challenge. I would love to though and if I do I shall report back.
Hey Cords, me too, I will try my best, maybe we could meet on the train? At least we would get to meet each other and have a coffee or two! Love Janie.XX
I called today and requested the forms to be assessed for this. The fellow I talked to said I sounded like I would qualify. I would have to go to a medical centre near where my Rheumy is (45min away) about 14 times over 6 months. I'm looking forward to getting the forms and seeing if they will accept me. Thanks for the heads up Dinky. Now that sounds like fun, Janie.
