I have had to be off work and on disability for almost 4 years now due to AS, Spinal Stenosis, and a multitude of other problems. I am now needing bilatleral knee replacements as well as the disc at c3-c4 and c6-c7 replaced. I have always been the go to guy in my family and they are having a hard time with it and I am having a hard time with not being able to do things. My depression is getting so bad and hard to hide from everyone I don't know what to do. I guess I just need someone to listen to me and don't know where to find one. Any ideas?

You can ask your doctor for the names of some counselors to talk to.  Or, if you are a religious person, your minister/priest should have names as well.

I wish I could be more helpful ... but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

start interacting with people go to any community center where u can meet people who are facing the same problem n be strong this is how life is Don't be afraid to talk with your doctor and don't be afraid to let your feeling be known to your wife and your family. Hopefully they will understand what you are going through and support you and help you. You don't have to fight alone, just ask for help.
