OT--Medical Procedures and Patience (or not) | Arthritis Information

So I am pretty patient with people in person, slow to anger, can wait my turn, etc.  But I do have ADD and I can be an info junkie.

During my thyroid ultrasound I about broke my eyes trying to see the screen.  I saw some little bean looking things so I sort of knew already that it wasn't normal.

Today was the thyroid scan.  One tech was being trained so she and the other sat in the back in from of the screen while the machine took pictures and were talking about what was appearing (but also about other things--this was about 30 minutes).  Definitely not anything I could hear clearly but I heard parts.  Then another guy comes in and is over with them for a while and when he leaves he says, "wow, that's really interesting." So I have no idea if he is talking about my thyroid or office gossip he just heard!  So they are done and I just leave, and I can see the picture of my thyroid still on the screen, and I so want to go over there and say "I know you aren't the doctor but what CAN you tell me?" :)

I have another 5 minute procedure tomorrow and it looks like I probably won't hear back until Monday.  Maybe Friday?  not holding out hope.

I am SO impatient about things like this and I want to know what is going on!!!!!!

Oh well...I guess I'll deal!

You did well to not ask!  I'm always the eye strainer to look at the screens but I usually ask.  I'm usually joking with the techs and talking so when I slide in a "how does it look", they usually tell me.  Bad, bad, bad.....I know.  ;)

I hope everything goes okay for you.
