eye stuff | Arthritis Information

So I did my eye exam. As it was not one of my worst days on the day of my appiontment. So I do not have alot of damage as of yet. Good to hear. I need bifocals and i am at one percent cataracts. So that is pretty well age related stuff. I still have to do the field vision test next month. Of course i had dry areas in my eye but that i already knew.

So isn't it always the way things go. After the doctors appiontment i run into trouble. Strange swelling above the eye lid. Like this water ballon is hanging above my tear duct?
Well so i wonder what it is. Because it happens to be that i have more swelling around my toe and on my wrist than usual. Could they be related. I am always swelling some but still i notice when things get worse. So i don't know if the eye thing is infection or a gland or sinus. I could understand having Sjorgrens and a gland swelling. But stange thing is even my eyebrow hurts. I do not know of  any joints or glands in my eyebrow. But my eyebrow gets puffy and hurts sometimes. Maybe it is over flow swelling from my jaw? I will have to go back to the eye doctor i havn't a clue.
BUMP
I got no answers for you, Milly - the only trouble I have with my eyes is occasional allergies; for that I use an antihistamine (prefer Zyrtec or Benadryl) and warm compresses as needed to help relieve pain.

Shame on you and this forum!

Milly,

There is a lacrimal gland just that is above your eyelid and right below the outer part of your eyebrow.  The gland produces a tear film to keep your eyes lubricated.  Is that where the swelling is?
Maybe a blocked tear duct?  Anyway sounds like a infection--swelling, etc.  that sounds very uncomfortable and frightening..  Were you able to put a call into eye dr?  do you see an optometrist or an opthamologist?

Can you move up your next appt?  Doesn't sound like something you want to wait too long on.
