JR- sorry to read you are feeling so under the weather today. Just make sure you keep your germs to yourself. You don't want any man colds happening! I hope you are asking for hot tea and chicken soup while you are resting up. Oh and can he get you another icy coke please? Anything but the dreaded man-cold!!!  I've quarantined myself.Well I sure hope you feel better in the morning.  Spray a lysol fog around yourself for safety!
Well I sure hope you feel better in the morning.  Spray a lysol fog around yourself for safety!

You DO keep a little silver bell at your bedside, yes, to summon the lackeys you nursed through their man-colds, in case you feel thirsty or want the good Kleenex, the kind with lotion in it, during the night?    This is the man that won't even eat generic Gummi Bears!  I still have 3 of those four rolls of sandpaper.  I think they'll come in handy on my next woodworking project!!!
Man-shopping is to be feared only slightly less than the man-cold.  At least with man-shopping you run the chance they will bring home something exotic that you might enjoy. I don't know who has me laughing harder JR or Sno!I'm used to my own silliness so Snow is definitely making me laugh harder!!! I didn't even see the appendix post! My husband got the doctor's evil eye and sharp tongue in the ER when I was there hemmoraging after my C-Section for the same reasons!Well girls... I think I'm gonna dig out a lunesta to fight with the sudafed (it tends to keep me awake) and hit the sack.  ALONE.  Nighty-night! Love the whole man cold thing, girls! I couldn't agree more that men do have trouble being both grown up and sick at the same time. Whereas women in general can do both plus multi tasking work, kids, dinner, elderly parents and a mountain of other activities...all while still remaining upright when others would have fallen to the wayside.

I had a funny thought recently and laughed at myself...I realised that I have decided that if I ever get into another relationship (I have been divorced nearly three years now), it doesn't matter how nice said man is, he must come with his own television. If he doesn't he better go and buy one or goodbye. After years and years of never being able to watch the few program on tv that I like, and now after being able to do so in my new found independance I will NEVER share a tv with a man again. EVER. Hell, Cordelia - I will never ever share a BEDROOM with a man again! I love my husband dearly, but we both sleep better ALONE.  We each have our private space to retreat to - I can stay up and read or use the computer if I want; he can snore all he wants, watch TV, whatever.  And there's a TV in each room, so he can watch his man-shows and I can watch my documentaries in peace. I am with you Jas girl on the whole own bedroom thing also, no matter how much you love em. Excellent idea to add to the TV one. I am someone who needs my own pottering/mooching space too.

Glad your fever is down a little. I wish you sweet dreams Sno-

I don't know...my family didn't even get it when I was at my worst. I was too weak to push the button of the recliner to recline and too weak to put the foot rest back in when I needed to sit up. I had to "humbly" ask for help which killed me to begin with and then they would act incredulous at my request! I looked like death warmed over, I had lost 18 lbs. in 2 weeks, there was no way I could be faking it...
Apparently I am Superwoman in their eyes and they cannot accept me any other way.
Last night "He Man" had a pain in his heel. Oh my the world was coming to an end- what doctor should I go to for this he wanted to know. I started asking questions about what the pain was like and he got all exasperasted with me- it just hurts like h-ll!  I told him he should have kept the appt. with my RD that he cancelled. The way he complains about this and that on a daily basis it appears he has a case of RA far more severe then my own! He doesn't listen though- I think he prefers complaining over getting well.

JR hope you are feeling well today! Watch church on TV and rest up a little more!
Still feeling like crap, so the menfolk are going to church alone.  It's only 4 blocks away; they should be able to find it without my help.  I love your humor ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To JasmineRain: Feel better soon.
