Well...lets see, nothing manic about my day. I walked into my sewing room. Haven't been in it since sewing four halloween costumes two weeks ago. So, cleaning day. I skipped out of my nursing computer classes, lol so I'm sure I'm in trouble at work.

What is everyone else up to today?I'm home from work today (OMG I absolutely LOVE being part-time!!!).  I've got some computer maintenance to do over at church this morning, then I'm going to clean my room (or, more accurately, try to find the floor!).  I'm also going to make some more cook-ahead meals; the portions I've been freezing don't seem to go as far as they used to.  My growing boys are like a swarm of locusts.

Since going part-time, I've been able to pretty much just relax on the weekends, and do my domestic engineering on my day(s) off.  I can get more done in one day ALONE in the house than I can all weekend with the Three Stooges around. Oh, and I've got some network reconfiguration and maintenance to do, which of course has to be done when all the computers and printers are offline.

Well, I could do it when the husband/kids are using network resources... but I can't take the screaming. Lorster...i use our conservatory as a craft room as its lovely in there....feel like im in the garden without being soaked and cold by the rain..lol. I have been making stuff with clay pots...will post some pics in a little while..and it looks as if a bomb has exploded in there but i realy do know where everything is so am loathe to touch it all.Oh and I'm gonna take a nice long hot whirlpool bath with NO INTERRUPTIONS!!! We are having Torrential rain...its rushing past the house and the wind is wild....so think a cup of hot chocolate and light the fire to shut out the horrible weather is in order
We are having Torrential rain...its rushing past the house and the wind is wild....so think a cup of hot chocolate and light the fire to shut out the horrible weather is in order
Ooh, that sounds wonderful!  I love a good rainstorm, warm fire, hot chocolate - provided, of course, that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to set foot outside the house!!
I am not sure what I am going to do today. I am still awake from yesterday. I guess not waking completely until midnight is to blame for that. And I only woke up because 4 hours later hubby decided to make me ramen noodles. So... here I lay in bed with my right knee and hip throbbing and starting to get sleepy. But my son is awake. He woke up at 8:30am.

I am trying to think of something to do with the 4 red potatoes I have leftover from the pot roast. I was thinking of baking them and lathering them in butter. YUMMMY!!!

I have become quite the butter person lately. I normally do not care for butter, but I seem to want butter on just about everything thing.

I have also come to like sour cream. I just to gag at the thought of sour cream. But I have eaten it on a potatoe one time and on a taco from taco bell another time. Not going to make a habit of it.

Yesterday, I woke up hubby early in the morning, around 9am, that is early for him and me on a sunday. I told him I wanted to go eat breakfast and go to the sportsplex and play on the new equipment. I told him we could go eat breakfast at all the place in town that serve breakfast and then decide which had the best breakfast. He just laughed at me.

Then I told him we should go to the sportsplex while the kids are gone and go play on the new equipment they put out. He said no, and that I was a bit too old for that.

He is a downer, I must say. I told him we could try the equipment out and see if we want to take the kids to go play there or not. He just smiled and snickered at me and said no.

I tell ya he is NO FUN!! Losing his hair is not the only thing he is losing. I think he is starting to feel old. He is only 29! He acts like an old man. I mean me acting and seeming old, is one thing because I have RA and it does take your "youngness" outta ya, but he has nothing wrong wrong with him. Except he can't breathe... but breathing is for fish LMAO!! Just kidding!!!
Jas, what kind of meals do you put together? That may be something that I could do for the days I work 12 hours. My husband pops popcorn on those nights or eats cheesesticks. It would be so convenient and I'm not much on tv dinners....unless they are amys, lol. That whirlpool bath does sound nice. I may have to do that later.

Pin, I would love to see pics of your conservatory. Can you post? I painted my sewing room atomic vomit green about two years ago. My husband about crapped when he came home and saw it. Its mine and I love it. My bicylce is the same color.

Snowowl, thank you for giving your time to people who really need the care.

Joonie, your post reminded me of years ago when I was a single mom, me and the other moms would get together once a month for a bake potato party. The host would bake huge russet potatoes and the rest of us would bring stuffing ingredients. Man did I learn how to eat some creative bake potatoes. And it was so good. I may have to do that again. Chili, stew, fixings for tacos, fajitas (freeze the peppers and onions separately; make sure to throw some tortillas in the freezer as well), pot roast (cut into 1-pound chunks; "juice" frozen separately), puréed fresh berries for smoothies... lots of stuff!  Sure makes it easier to cook on worknights, nights when I'm under the weather, nights when I've got meetings to go to... definitely give it a try! It's sunny here and my plans are to go to City Hall and vote early for the civic election (volunteering on election day) and make shortbread so it has time to get nice and aged for Christmas. I use the recipe on the back of the Canada Corn Starch box. It is the best shortbread recipe.

I also plan to save the universe from Boxer.

That leaves me with a lot of free time today so I may also pop downtown and purchase a new winter coat.I just finished watching Bailey.  I know now why we were meant to have our children when we're young.   I still need to tidy up the mess we made while playing.
My dil doesn't work tomorrow so I have the day off...so I'm off with a friend for lunch and shopping tomorrow.  Looking forward to that.
Have a good day everyone!
Gimpy! Now you got me to thinking... I should start playing Dot Hack again or at least Paper Mario. I need something to occupy my time, other than dreading cleaning the house.

I sure do, do a lot of house cleaning talk, but I never get around to doing it. Seems something always pops up. Stupid right hip/thigh/knee and let's not forget lower back.

I am sleepy. I should have went to sleep last night. LOL! But roman noodles was too good to pass up

Did I mention that hubby cooked the 1st bowl of roman noodles for over 20 mins?
