Anyone elses toenails stop growing? Since I have been on Remicade my toenails seem to have stopped growing.

Might not even be Remicade, or one of my other meds.

My toenails are pretty ugly. They seem to have vertical lines and ridges in them. They never had that before. It is mostly my big toes.

I use to get ingrown toenails, but have not since my RA has been out of control for the last 3 years.

Anyone else have toenails that stopped growing?
mine are growing much faster,  but unevenly
 cant help you
Have'nt really thought about it, but yes they have slowed down. my fingernails on the other "hand" are still growing.

My hubby has to clip my toenails because 1. I cannot reach them, 2. because my hands do not have enough strenght to press the clippers down.

My toenails have not growed much since hubby last clipped him, which was way back in the summer time. They still look the same length to me.
Hi,
I have no problem with them not growing on remicade.  I am very blessed to have a daughter that works in a salon who takes care of all that stuff for me.
They are however getting uglier with the disease but with my toe's already bending into each other,I guess it really doesn't matter.
both my fingernails and toenails have ridges and dents. SOme are real thick and grow slow. They always split. I remember when I had my first rd visit the dr looked at my nails. So maybe the ra makes our nails freaky? Just my educated guess. LOL
