OT skin care - what works? | Arthritis Information

Well, it seems I am on the road to early menopause (I am 43). I am super paranoid about my skin shriveling up like a prune and looking older than I really am. Does anyone use some skin care products that really work? Has anyone tried that Murad Resurgence? All this stuff is just so expensive and I really question their effectiveness.I went through this early too ( 38 ). I lotion every morning and evening

and have great looking skin. I don't think it really matters what kind of
lotion just as long as you use something to condition.
Moisture is the secret and do it faithfully and also use sun screen daily.   I've never used expensive products and my skin looks good.    I also had early onset of menapause at age 42.   LindyI use Sensaria products and love them. They are expensive but worth it. I think you have to order them from a private party, not sure. My skin looks great too. Some other things, don't over sun expose and drink lots of water to keep the skin healthy. Oh, and if you smoke, quit, it will not matter how much you baby your skin, the cigs will age it quickly. I've been having a hard time finding something myself.

My biggest problem is most stuff breaks me out.  I'm finding they use Soy a lot.  I'm allergic to Soy.  I've always used Oil of Olay.  I swear by it.  You can buy it at Walmart.  I use their cleansing pads to wipe away makeup and the regenerist for my face at night.  They also have wonderful body lotions, and a deep moisturizing body mousse as well.  My mom has always used it.  She is 70 and looks  more like my sister than my mom.  She calls it "oil of delay".
It's not the cheapest stuff in the store, but it's much less expensive (and maybe even better) than those hoity toity dept store brands.  I had a complete hysterectomy at age 37, which was 11 years ago, and I have very few lines....and no wrinkles.

I'm with Bizz- I have always used Oil of Olay. The original- the cheapest.  It seems to work for me.  I often get compliments on my skin and "holding my age". However my mom is 80- has never used a skin product and looks pretty darn good- so it's probably genes.

Thanks for all your recommendations. Hopefully I can hold off the wrinkles and sagging a little longer.Gravitational pull is the pits sometimes, isn't it?  I've often wondered if I spend hours standing on my head, if it would delay the aging process, but with my RA, I've been unable to test the theory.
