Thanks to all the veterans who have served our country.A big AMEN to that! yes- thank you to all who servedThanks to all who have served, and those who currenltly serve.  God bless and protect them all.I'll add my sincere thanks too. My sincere thanks and appreciation to all veterans, past and present.

Does anyone want to tell us about someone special in your life/family?

My father fought in World War II and the Korean War. He was also aboard the flagship, Mt. McKinley, during the atomic bomb testing on the island of Bikini in 1946. Those guys were subjected to extreme amounts of radiation fallout, as some of the ships were only 10 miles from the island. Due to the fact that I was born in 1947, one of my daughters is convinced that what my father was exposed to was passed down to me genetically. By the way, my Dad died in 1967, at the age of 52.

Thanks and love to all the vets and their families.
when i was in the navy, i knew some people that were there and exposed to the atomic bomb testing.  they were on the ship and on deck and covered their faces when the blast went off.  One PO said you could see the bones in your hands when the blast went off.  Most all the crew mates died prematurely of strange cancers and stuff. their all some horrible things that happened to our past servicemen and today i honor them with the utmost respect, as well as all veterans who has served this nation.

Add me to the list..........Thank You Veterans !!!

Put me at the top of list also, I have the utmost respect and gratitude for those who served and are currently serving our Great Country. May God Bless them all.Bizzalou-

Thank you very much, Jan.  I never pass up an opportunity to tell him how proud I am of him.  My father is a retired Navy Chief, so I grew up in a Navy home.  I have always respected my dad so much, and it makes me very proud to see my son aspire to be like him.

I will pass your thanks on to him, and I thank you, also.

Dad came with me in October to see my son graduate from Navy boot camp.  He arrived in full uniform, which just blew me away.  I was so proud to accompany him, and to see all the new sailors stop and salute him and  say "Mornin' Chief"!

My two favorite sailors...
