Searching for a new doc | Arthritis Information

Back when I was first diagnosed my parents would take me to a pediatric rheumatologist at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  He worked VERY well hand in hand with my pediatrician to beat the jra into submission.  I actually was in remission from the time I was 15 up until the age of 26.  During that time, of course, I stopped seeing the pediatrician so I never bothered following up with an adult RD there.

My question is this.  Is there possibly anyone here that may see a rhematologist there now that wouldn't mind sharing experiences or names?

I've also been to the Cleveland Clinic before but didn't have a good experience with the doc that I had at that time.  However, I do have an appt with another doc there at the Solon campus in Jan. of 2009.  Just trying to keep some options open.

Where do you live now?  I have lived all over VA and I am currently in the Roanoke area.I live in West Virginia near a town called Philippi.  It's known best for it's annual civil war re-enactment festival called The Blue and Grey Festival and the covered bridge which is one of the last ones left that was actually used during the civil war.      We have alot of people who dr. in from West Virginia.  I see Dr. Pendleton in Roanoke.  He has been great for me.  He is actually ranked #1 in the area.  I am not sure how far a drive this would be for you. It's a pretty good drive to Roanoke for me.  It's about three and half to 4 hours to Charlottesville for me, and the same for Cleveland.
Thanks for the info though.
