I've been wondering if there are any OTC NSAID's that may be comparable to Celebrex?  Will something like Naproxen work just as good as Celebrex?   The reason I'm asking is that I'm taking 8 prescriptions now and of those 4 are over 0 a month (enbrel, celebrex, travatan, and fosamax.)  I have to trim some of the fat so to speak from my monthly expenses so I can afford to heat my home.

I've been on clinoril, arthrotec, vioxx, relafen, mobic, and now celebrex.  I'm going to have a long med discussion with my doc when I see her.

I have a medicare part-D plan which is pretty crappy for people like us here that have chronic diseases and take a lot of high dollar medication.   No, higher cost does not mean it's better I totally agree with that.

I actually think the biologics aren't at all worth what we are charged for them.  I don't care if the drug puts me into an instant remission they aren't worth the 00 plus price that is put on them by drug companies.  I'm sure I'll get ripped on pretty good for that comment but it's just how I feel.

I wish the drug companies would axe the big advertising campaigns that cost big dollars and reduce the costs of meds so people don't have to choose food or heat over them! Amen to that !I use the generic for Alieve. BE careful though, it can really mess up your stomach.ooops///

aleve, spelled it wrong.

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't any COX2 inhibitors like Celebrex available over-the-counter.  So, whatever you take "may" be harder on your stomach than what you are taking right now.
