I dont know about you guys, but when I go to the Dr I dont go for the thrill of it. I go because I feel I have a problem. And when I go I want the Dr to listen to me and I dont want to be rushed in and out. And if there is anything I hate, it is a Dr that wont touch you or does touch you so lightly you can hardly feel it. Whats up with that? I feel that if your Dr cant sit and talk with you and do a good assessment then it is time to find another one.

I agree...find a new one!! Especially an RD. You've got a long relationship ahead of you with this one; it's best to find one early that you can grow with.

At the OBGYN practice I go to I prefer to see the Nurse Practicioner because she is so friendly and attentive. She will sit and talk to me and then invite me into her office to talk more. No other doctor helps me understand exactly what's going on like she does. I've told her this exact same thing too. The only thing she can't do is surgical proceedures and when I've had to have those done I switched...but switched back as soon as I realized how much I missed her. I see one at my GP a lot too and prefer her far more than the doctor. They just seem to have a better "Bedside Manner"

I know what you're talking about though. They need to teach these doctors a little more about the way they treat their patience....not only how to Treat them. Does that make sence?
