Does anyone know how long mtx stays in your system for? I have just had my second injection and feel like I have been hit by a bus Injections...I have no clue...oral I was told 3 weeks for it to clear. It has a pretty long half life from what I understand. I've always taken oral so I don't know a thing about the injectible version. There are many folks here that do so I'm sure you'll get your answer shortly.
Feel better...that's not a fun feeling I just tapered the pred and I feel the same way.

Hi Moos, mine tends to stop giving me as much relief on day 4 after the injection, it definitely weakens, and my GP said if I miss a dose or two it can take 3 weeks to get back to the full effect. Hope this helps, I usually feel tired for a couple of days but joints and general energy level are usually improved. Best of luck. If this is only your 2nd injection, I think it needs to build up in your body before you get a better effect and also most side effects decrease with longer use. Mine were and sometimes are still, stomach cramps, mouth ulcers, hair loss, tiredness. Good luck and kind regards Janie.
Moos, welcome to the MXT club. Stays in system for about 3 weeks but you'll see a difference from about 1-7 days in how your joints feel. Depends on how long it lasts for you. It may take as long as 3 months to start working. It's not unusual to feel the way you do. There's several things you can do to alleviate the symptoms: Give yourself the injections late evening and you'll sleep through the worst of the reaction. Don't make any plans for the day after the injection. Try and stay quiet and relax. Drink lots of fluids. It will get better over time. LindyThank you
