Elbow Surgery on Nov 4 | Arthritis Information

I had elbow surgery on Nov 4th (I voted early).

Both sides of my right elbow have incicsions. My ulnar nerve was transplanted to the front of my elbow. Lots of loose debris was removed. I believe some re-shaping of the radial head, humerus, and ulna were done as well.

I had nearly full extention of that elbow when the stitches were removed and the 'big' splint was taken off on the 10th day. Still have to sleep in a little splint. I'm doing really well. There is still some pain, and my arm is really weak, but all things considered it really went great.

I was really stunned that my elbow was so mobile after being in a splint for 10 days.

congratulations!  sounds like a success.

So glad your surgery went well and your elbows have improved!

Bet you're glad to have that behind you.

That's good news! I hope you continue to heal well.
take care
Did you have a full elbow replacement? Or just surgery on your elbow.

I am glad that you are doing so well. The real work is in the physical therapy. It pays off to do every last bit of it and any exercises they give you for home. I had a massive rotator cuff repair. For me it was hell. But I worked hard and got great mobility back. Not a 100% but close enough to call it a done deal. Keep us updated. Take care

What good news! It's always good to hear about successful surgery. I had very similar surgery about 35 years ago. (Yep, I'm OLD). Repositioned ulnar nerve, etc. Still have very little problem with that particular joint.

Sounds like you are doing great. Be well.
Hugs, Nini

That's wonderful news! I'm glad to hear you healed so quickly. I have a pinched ulnar nerve and have been putting off surgery for at least two years now.

Congrats!
