OT:Yeast | Arthritis Information

I think I mentioned in a previous post about IBS that I have been having GI problems for about a week and a half now.  Well, I found out yesterday that the gram stain from a stool culture last week showed many budding yeasts in my stool.   Of course I also appear to have a UTI that is becoming a kidney infection from 2 bacteria.

I was given 2 doses of Diflucan by a doc and told to take one immediately and one in 7 days to take care of it so evidently it's not all that bad.  I also began taking some of the probiotics that need refrigerated a few days back.   Now I know that the yeast isn't going anywhere while I need an antibiotic or two for the above mentioned kidney inection.  Which by the way I have no idea how I got.  But at least I can start mapping out a treatment plan.

I want to try one of the diets but don't know which one would be the best.  They all have contradicting information.  I just wondered which one, if any, some of the folks here have used with success?

Thanks
Bob H.

By the way, I think my problem with the yeasties came from VERY high dose prednisone.  (I've since gotten to 45mg.  Still not a small dose, or safe, but getting there.)
I don't know about a specific diet, but I've always heard that yeast likes sugar and to stay away from it.  Unfortunately, I like sugar too.

I hope the Diflucan and probiotics help, along with the antibiotics, so you can get back to your base treatment plan.
