Let's create a thread that lists the things WE are thankful for. With the holidays upon us it would be nice to remember the things that are dear to our hearts. I will start:

1. I am thankful my family is healthy and doing well

2. I am thankful for our military

3. I am thankful I have employment

4. Chocolate (smile)God you are so full of it Lisa!Lisa-

Yes, gratitude is a good attitude, all times of the year.
ok i'll play the game.............i'm thankful that i don't look like lisa, act like lisa, talk like lisa and that i am nothing like lisa.............the other inflamed online.  so thankful for all that.I am thankful for my wonderful family. We have a new grandson, 1 month old tomorrow. We now have 3 terrific grandkids, 18 years, 3 years and 1 month. Our most precious gifts.

I am thankful that my husband's parents are active and healthy at 87 & 82 years. Wish I felt half as good, and was half as active.

I am very thankful for my precious husband. He takes care of me without complaint.  He is the kindest man man I have ever met. And so generous, he is always the first there with a helping hand to those in need. The love of my life.

This one is extremely selfish but..... We have found a wonderful back surgeon, well trained and experienced in minimally invasive surgery. He's given me hope again. I'll be having surgery within a month, hopefully. He said he can definitely help the pain and that I will be able to walk after the surgery!!! I am most thankful.

I am also thankful for the many dear friends that I've made here. It helps to have friends that understand.

Nini, why do you think it's selfish to be thankful for your upcomming back surgery?

Nini, Oh that will be marvelous. It is so hard to not be mobile.
I Truly hope this works for you. ............especially since I'm not mobile at all and my fat ass shows it!  this place rocks!!!!!I'm thankful for

living in a free country that has legislated for equal access and support for people with disabilities.

my RA first emerging AFTER I had my children and lived out my youth

my local swimming pool.  Linn, As I re-read that I guess it's not exactly selfish. It just seemed to be a little self-centered to me. But maybe not . I AM really thankful for this doctor, though. He's compassionate, kind and insisted on a bunch of specialized tests before he would operate on me. The prep and tests for this surgery have taken a lot of time and I've been in MUCHO pain lately, but I'll feel confident that he knows all he can about my deformed spine before he begins.
Thanks for making me see this more as a blessing for both my husband and myself!
Hugs, Nini
Nini, I'm really happy for you.  I  hope you get everything you're hoping for from this doc and this surgery. It really is a blessing isn't it?  Did you say when you might be having it done?Thankful I can still visit and talk to my parents, event though they live in Florida.Linn, Thanks for your concern.I just got a call tonight and the surgery is scheduled for Dec. 3.
