Being by the sea is playing havoc with my RA | Arthritis Information

I am out of town for the weekend, we have come to blackpool which is a nice little seaside town in the northwest of the UK.....Its quite exciting as we are meeting friends tomorrow who we havent seen in 20 years. The weather is supposed to be snowy at home for the weekend so i should miss it as the northwest is going to be sunny....My RA is being a nuisance tonight, it could be because we are by the coast but i ache badly.....I had a pm about my whereabouts, so to who pm'd me  ,  have you heard of laptop and 3 G card....obviously not,  maybe you should move back to the town you were in before.

Sorry to everyone else , I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
I'm the one who pm'd you and if I was on vacation for a weekend with my hubby i sure as hell wouldnt be on the computer let alone this forum.  your in serious need of a hobby or better yet a life.I've never not lived by the sea. Maybe that's why I felt so great this summer? But then, I was by the other sea and I still felt great. We used to live by the indian ocean in South Africa and that was lovely, I just think its the English coastline, its so damp here, even the hotel ( and its a lovely hotel too) feels damp. I will take some photos tomorrow and post.the damp affects me.. alot.
and we're getting quite cold and damp here...

enjoy your time away Pin
damp is what bothers me too.

Have fun on vacation!
Hi Pin, Hope you're enjoying your vacation. I know you have some beautiful seaside towns in the UK. I, too, have a lot of pain when it's damp outside. The cold  bothers me too, but any dampness is bad.

Looking forward to your pictures (photos

Hope you get to feel better very soon Lisa, and that you have a wonderful time at the sea regardless. For so many people the sea air is very healing, and I guess in summer that counts but this time of year in the UK I can understand how the damp can turn things around.

Just imagine you are here....

I too want to see some photos!

Hi Pin!

I grew up in a little beach town and LOVE the ocean so much.  I'm so sorry you are hurting, though.  I hope you feel better and enjoy your visit with your friends.  20 years! That is really cool!

Looking forward to the pics!!
Lived in the Virgin Islands for 10+ years -- and I can tell you that humidity affected me very badly. Moved to a much drier climate and am better for it. Feel better soon.Same here...the cold and dampness KILL my bones!!

The only way I can describe my joint pain in a flair is that the joints feel like they are infected. I tried to describe this to my hubby and I got the Deer in the Headlights Look
