Raynaud's phenomenon & nerve damage question | Arthritis Information
Here's a question for ya!
Do you get Raynaud's phenomenon as a result of nerve damage?
I know I cannot really feel my fingers and hands cold, and I REALLY cannot tell when my feet are frozen, until the coldness go up my arm or calf. Or until I get in a hot shower and everything defrosts and the burn of it defrosting.
So does nerve damage result in Raynaud's phenomenon?
Don't know but I have it and it can really suck. I was at a outdoor game 2 years ago and realized I could not feel 2 fingers. They were White/blue. They looked dead. Slow heat bought them back...
I know that certain things can cause raynauds, like working with a jackhammer as a profession. I think the vibrations can bring on the condition. It would seem like that is nerve related? Also Joonie I can't remember if I linked to these in the forum yet but there are warming gloves that can be plugged into your USB port. This is the only thing I have specifically begged my husband to buy me for christmas...

How did you know my fingers & hands are at their coldest when I am at the computer or laying in bed with my laptop?! Do you have a crystal ball or something.
Now... I am off to see how much those gloves that plug into USB cost.
Ok checked them out... pink is not really my color.... but.... I might can overlook that.
I will show hubby them when he comes home from work.
It is kinda weird that it is only my right hand that gets the coldest. My left hand gets cold, but no where near as cold as my right hand.
So... if I get those gloves I will not have to wear but one! Or maybe I will put both of the gloves on my right hand LMAO!!!!!
Oh and forgot to say...
I did a google search on nerve damage and Raynaud's... there is really no answer to if the nerve damage causes raynaud's... it is thought to be a result, no real proof. UGH!!

I wonder what I can get a pair for off of ebay. I mean they are already trying to sell me handcuffs, might as well see what kind of heated gloves they have. It all has to do with hands.
Now if they only had a full body heating suit that ran off the USB of my laptop!
Now I think I want to make it one of my life long goals to make myself one BIG heating pad that runs off the USB of my laptop!
Oh and what happens if you forget you are hooked up to your laptop and take off walking away? Does that mean you laptop ends up in the floor?Cool!! I think there are several sites that sell them, that was just the first I found. If you type in USB gloves a lot of them pop up!
Oh I can already see myself breaking something because I forget to take off the gloves!! :) Will probably be worth it anyway!
