So... how many of you have a hammertoe or hammertoes?

I have 2, one on my right foot which is the worst one and one on my left foot which does not bother me as much as the one on my right.

Here is an article that talks about hammertoes and RA

Aw Joonie, sorry you have a hammertoe, but it beats having a camel toe!
OMG!! You would say that wouldn't you!

Ok... hubby dried my pants too LONG the other day. I put them on and I had a camel toe!

BUT I fixed it! I took the pants off and stretched them and then they were back to being loose and no more camel toe! Just looked like I had a falling crotch... which is not any better LMAO!

My daughter... she keeps giving herself camel toes. For some reason she likes to pull her pants or shorts all the way up to her boobers! She thinks her pants are going to fall off of her, she has a gappy waist-band, from her waist being smaller than her hips.

I keep telling her with her big bubble butt, her pants will not go over her butt. Heck no one would even be able to pants her!
I have 2, the same toe on both feet. always had them, but have gotten worse since I was Dx. it's the toe next to the pinkie. sometimes it will rub a corn on pinike other times it won't bother me. my right foot is worse also.......
Yep that is where mine both are.... the toe next to the pinkie toe.

I have trouble finding shoes because of the hammertoe on my right foot. It like to rub the top of the shoe. I cannot wear dress shoes because of it, and I cannot wear all Leather tennis shoes because of it. The part of the shoe over the toes has to be stretchy cloth like material. I have a pair of New Balance that I have had for a couple of years now. Longest I have had a pair of shoes, becase normally... the shoes will bother my feet somehow, but not these. Surprising!
I have one hammertoe and a bunion. Anyone consider surgery?
I have one hammertoe and a bunion. Anyone consider surgery?
Nope, not me... as I was told by a bone Dr that there was no fix for them. I did not even go to him for that reason... I had a broken knee bone at the time.

I have had mine since I was a kid.
I am afflicted with "Hammertime", symptoms of which cause me to wear genie pants and spend most of my time telling people "you can't touch this...."

Seriously, I don't have hammertoes or bunions, but I feel for anyone who does.  I learned about 3 years ago that cute pointy-toes shoes were no longer going to be included in my wardrobe...it's Saucony running shoes and Bass slip-ons for me, forever.

EzziI would LOVE to have the surgery. I wonder if insurance would pay for it??
I have hammer toe on every single one of my toes except the big onesand it is bad. My feet look so gross. My students even say stuff when I wear open toed shoes and I always see people looking at them. I hate it :(
It is painful too.
I might try some of those exercises. Thanks for posting that joonie!
I have a hammertoe...doesn't bother me though.  I have bunions and metatarsal problems as well.  Surgery has been suggested a few times, but I've been putting it off...basically because I'm a big baby.
I also have a bunion, it looks horrible but doesn't hurt.... I don't blame you for being a baby!! me too!!! I tell you there is an insert I wear that really helps me. it was recommended by a podiatrist and Rd called powerstep.
I have a bunionette and sometimes it hurts if I'm on it very much.  I can't move that little toe at all.

Janlee, is the powerstep for hammertoes or for your bunion?
My podiatrist suggested them when I went to him for ball of foot pain, It really helps your whole foot, makes you evenly distribute when you walk, that's how it was explained to me.

I think I saw the powerstep you're talking about.  I've tried orthotics..they always seem to make things even more uncomfortable for me.  One of these days I'm just going to have to be a big girl and have the surgery.

Kelstev I tried the custom made orthotics never could get use to them. these are alot thinner, you do need to take out the footbed already in shoe's to make it comfortable. do your bunions bother you the most or is it the forefoot? Lots of pretty feet, sounds like.

Count me in for a big ole bunion

Oscar's toes look like curly fries

I still don't know, what is a camel toe?

Ok..that doesn't sound too bad then. I always found the orthotics to be too thick.
I have times where the bunion hurts, but most times it's the forefoot/metatarsal area that hurts/burns the most.  I never have any pain with the hammertoe,
Pam..umm..think about what a camel's toe looks like..then think about an area on the female body that might look like that if your pants were too tight.
I was watching Conan O'Brien on night and they were brining out "new" characters for the show.... and one of them was Camel Toe Annie! That was the funniest thing EVER!

I always think "Camel Toe Annie". If you want to see the video clip from that show follow the link below.
