So yesterday I had a lung function test done.  After we had done the albuterol inhaler part and went back to testing the technician said that the results after would be considered a significant change.  My Rheumy is out of town for a week so I have no idea really what it means and what they are going to do about it.  Any info all yall have on this is more than welcome.

Thanks!
Hi Loto- what a thing to say if they are not going to elaborate on what that means! I would call and explain your situation and see if they can tell you anything more. Waiting for a week is going to drive you nuts!
Best of luck!
It could mean that the tests are better than before.  Technicians aren't allowed to make comments one way or the other on the results of testing.  Call your primary doctor (internist or family) and have them get the results.  They might be able to give you the results.  LindyI can tell you that when I went to the Allergists, they ran the LFT, then after the albuterol, had me do it again.  It was the same results and they said it was good and that my asthma was caused from allergens.  They never said what the cause would be if the test was different.

Does MTX affect lung function?  I wish I knew more.  Sorry.
