I feel like I need one more to serve- what's everyone making?I'm not making these, but old stand-bys are:
Prosciutto wrapped melon
Rice crackers and antipasto
Crostini and tampanade
Everyone loves brushcettaOh yeah....baked brie with cranberriesSam Adams Sam Adams chasing my Stoli

Thanks Gimpy- some good ideas! I think I'll go with the proscuitto wrapped melon- nice and light. I probably have too much already but I just can't help myself- I like to feed people!
We have dinner early on Thanksgiving, around 2:30 - 3:00. I don't usually make appetizers, or no one would eat dinner. Well, they would eat, but get full too quick .

But the fresh fruit sounds wonderful. Actually I could have that for Thanksgiving dinner, myself, and be very happy :) I love fresh fruit. Don't have much of an appetite lately, but I can almost always eat fruit.

Baked spinach & artichoke dip w/focaccia bread slices...

1 cup mayonnaise
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cut grated Parmesan cheese
14 ounce can artichoke hearts, chopped
9 ounce box of frozen chopped spinach, thawed & drained

Cream together mayonnaise, cream cheese, sour cream.  Add remaining ingredients.
***If you like "stinky" cheese, you can also add about 2 tablespoons of grated Romano cheese***

Pour into greased 8" x 8" baking dish (I like to use glass baking dishes for this).
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

I found a recipe on allrecipes.com that has gotten lots of great reviews for Artichoke dip... I'm going to try this for my family...

This sounds just wonderful !!! I sure am going to make this.  Thank you
Bread bowl

take a large black round pumpernickle loaf, and hollow it out..  roughly tear the stuff you took out into 1 inch cubes.
mix 1 container of dill dip with a cup (or so) of sour cream, stir in 1 jar of  chipped beef, rinsed in boiling water , drained real well, and cut into irregular pieces about a half inch big.
put the dip in the bread bowl and stand backl

I have gotten invitations, " can your bread bowl come to our gathering? you can  come too if you must.."

cheapie shrimp:  get a bag of the smallest frozen shrip, let thaw, drain well, mix with about a bottle of shrimp cocktail sauce. pour over a block of cream cheese, eat with triscuit or other hearty crackers.

mini quisidillas.. spread cheese and a little salsa on flour tortillias,  bake   till cheese is nice and runny

the heck with the turkey, lets just eat appetisers.

Ask and ye shall receive! Wow! I have to print these all out- I can't possibly use them all for Thanksgiving but I will eventually! Thank you!!!!!
