Just learned that """I DO HAVE""" a 5 year old grandaughter........cannot wait to see her. My son is working on full custody now.

Also...(such a good feeling)...son just bought a brand new home, a 2 story, hoping to be in by the holidays. HE has come a long way!!!!!!!

I have much to be thankful for...my children are growing up and doing so much better, it really is a good feeling.

Just wanted to share that sometimes in the face of turmoil and adversity, things do manage to turn out ok. It may take what seems like forever though! ( grinning/grimmmmmacing)

..................feeling fat & ugly too.  this place rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!jode congratulations!    i am waiting for that day too.    i got a litttle taste of it this last semester when their was respect and love and truthfulness in the house as we all lived here together.   i want my guys to grow up too., but they all seem to have to experience all their own firsts.    Merry Christmas with many more to come. Oh that's wonderful news, Jode! Congratulations!  Does your son live close by?  Will you be close enough to be able to see your granddaughter?
How's Jarak (hope I spelled that right) doing?
Thanks to all! I did make one error, it is for visitation not custody but I am still thrilled that this has all come to be.

My son lives about 5 hours away and I am not allowed to use mother's car to go see him that far away so this Christmas I just have to send surprises for her and hope to see her soon.

My son has battled many many hardships, some of his own doing I realize, but he is still my son and I want the very best for him. HE also has 2 stepsons so I am thrilled tha the will be able to be a "whole" family. I remember those days well.

Jarek is doing ok, has an ear infection and rolls everywhere and is trying to crawl.....the time goes so fast! My daughter is fighting sheer exhaustion from going to school and working so I try to help out when I am able to. I have an interview this week ( thankfully) and will hopefully gain employment so that I can purchase a car.....I still want to get my family all together in the same state before I grow too old!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol wish me luck with that!

I would love nothing more to turn back the clock......but that is impossible so I will make the best with what I have to work with. It would be so wonderful to be able to be in the country and have all these grandkids enjoy what life could be like.

Still getting used to the idea that my son is becoming so grown up and responsible....still getting used to the idea of a grandaughter and his 2 step sons.........it is a good type of getting used to i just wished I had could see them all together. My ex husband is working with me closly on this and he is just as pleased and as proud as I am. It is good to be able to get along with him again.
How old is your son, Jode?My son is 28, will be 29 this spring. THey grow up so fast, the years just seem to zoom by.

I have been busy gathering stuff that I have picked up along the years to give to him and the kids...mostly what my daughter doesn't need nor want since she helped me car tall this stuff across the country!

THis also gets the basement cleared out which I have been attempting to do for years!
