I have a problem with stiffness in my joints. My knees and hips are so stiff right now and I can hardly walk. If I sit for a few minutes and get up it is almost unbearable. Does anyone else get really stiff like this?
When I am really bad I am stiff. I then know that my meds are not right.
Prednisone always helps with stiffness.
It shouldn't be that bad if you are being treated.
My main area is between the shoulder blades and I battle to take a top off!

I don't take Prednisone and I don't know if I would be a candidate for it as I have diabetes and it would cause my sugars to rise. I have done a Medrol dose pack in the past and it was just a short term thing and my sugars returned to normal. I also am having trouble with my shoulders and putting on and taking off my coat, it about kills me. I can't reach out to far or it really is painful.
I guess this is just part of the wonderful world of RA and I will live with it.

I had the same stiffness and aching if i sat for 10 minutes or so. I almost hated to get out of a chair. My RD doubled my mtx dosage and i'm much improved now. I still have some stiffness if i sit for too long a time, but it's nothing like it was before increasing the mtx. Have you told how you feel to your RD? Hope you find the right combo and dosage of meds to get you to feeling better.

even on predisone i am stiff in the morning it feels like somebody beat the sh*t out of me at night even now when i get up it will hurt and i am taking 15 mg of predisone............teresa
