Hi, to all! | Arthritis Information

I know it has been a LONG time since I have been on board. I just wanted to check in and give a quick update on my condition. I am still on AP (since April 2006). I have had RA for three years now (wow-- time flies!!). It seems like just yesterday I was diagnosed. I am doing really well and living a very normal life. I dance, wear high heels, do the eliptical, etc. I do still get a stiff finger now and then-- so I am still not in 100% remission. But I do still have hope for that! My Rh factor is down to 45!!! Amazing :) I was diagnosed with it at 282. And it has been a very good indicator of how I am feeling (although I know that is not the case for many, for me it is). My CRP is normal and my CCP has come down a lot. The only side effect I have had is the occasional yeast infection when I forget to take probiotics! But nothing a little Monistat can't fix. :) This treatment may not be for everyone but it has been amazing for me. I think it works if you work it ;).  Best wishes and happy healing to you all! Hugs. ~KGood news from you.  Glad to see your post!!

Im glad its working for you Karin , long may it last

Reread this post.

That's wonderful! What an uplifting post -- it makes me want to search for a new RD.  Mine won't even discuss AP == she said that it didn't work for the ONE patient she has that tried it......she flat out dismissed it.

Most rheums do dismiss it.  You can find some that don't at www.roadback.org That is a really encouraging post... my RD has promised a return to MY normal life, so it's hopeful to hear it exists.

Thanks for the reference Jan!

It does exist and while remission can take awhile, it is possible!  I know that's what Rituxan has done for me...Isn't good to read about people who have great results with their meds.  Those are my favorite kind of  posts
