It has been some Crazy crap lately.

I have noticed a few things this last week since I have been taken off Nortriptyline. I no longer have what I called acid reflux. I would have a burning sensation from the middle of my throat all the way to the back of my mouth, and it would get like that if I ate just about anything! Even milk!

Yeah...

I am starting to believe most of my current problems are from nerve damage. Maybe a little from Fibro.

Still enjoying my little to NO inflammation joints though!! WOOHOOO!!!

Now if I can just get body parts to stop hurting!

Nerve damage? what kind? central or peripheral?

Not sure. Just was told nerve damage. Probably peripheral.

See, the burning in my shoulder blades and my neck issues start up again when I can hear the fluid in my neck swishing around when I move my neck or pressure is applied when I lay down on a pillow.

You know the sound you hear when you have your mouth closed and you swollow your slobba, that swishing sound? That is the same sound I hear from my neck when I move it or what have you.

I was told it was inflammation, which seems to be true. As right now, the Remicade is starting to wear off a little, and because of the rain we are now getting.

I just cannot get anyone to give me a straight answer and fix my problems. I mean, the Remicade has fixed a lot of my problems (stiffness, swelling, ROM) but it still has not fixed my BIG problem areas. Which makes me believe it is fibro, but my fibro meds are not helping the problems that much. SO... that is why I am thinking it is nerve damage, because of the burning sensation and all the same feeling as my feet get that I know for sure has nerve damage.

Even pain meds to do not help with the pain I have in shoulder blades and lower back.
Ask about neurotin. It helps with nerve pain. I didn't like it, but others have had great success. Some problems never get "fixed" , they just get treated.
Good Luck.....nerve pain is a pain in the neck...Neurontin.  What a horrid drug!  Just hearing the name of it makes me cringe.  I've taken it several times for various reasons.  I had terrible word recall with that drug.  It did nothing for my nerve pain.  It helped my restless leg syndrome, but again, I couldn't handle the side effects.  I'm glad it worked for you inflamedOnline.
