Weather & RA?? | Arthritis Information

Okay, this may be a silly question but I'm gonna ask anyway...

Is it true that rain and cold weather makes us feel worse? I have flared when the weather is nice and when it's raining or cold, then when it's freezing....like now....I'm all good today??? So........is it a myth? Whats your opinion??
It's good to hear you are doing well today!

I think that it depends on how much damage the RA has caused. I've noticed sometimes a day or two before a low moves in, I can feel it. A lot of times though, I'm the same as you - not a thing. Ok, wait, I'm lying. LOL  Nothing more than the normaly tolerated day-to-day pains.
I do know we have several members that are directly impacted by the weather though. Rain seems to be the worst.

*edited to change "worse" to "worst"
CO_Mel2008-12-04 13:45:51mine is worse on damp days also..Weather changes get me -- it's that old barometer bouncing around that seems to affect my joints. If the weather gets one way and stays, I'm okay.... And generally, I feel a lot better in cool to cold dry days.Weather really bothers me. Hot or cold. If there's any form of moisture, I ache. I think I ache more in the cold or it's a different type of pain. More intense. Sometimes, not always I can predict the weather by how my hip, hands, and feet feel. It's the humidity that bothers me.
