I always cry when I see stories like that.
When I was in elementary school(I think first grade), my dad (Navy Capt.) came home and surprised me at school. They called me down to the office and of course I thought I was in trouble. He was there after being at sea for what seems like forever-probably like 8 months. He took me out to a movie-didn't even get my stuff out of my cubby in the classroom.
We had a dad surprise his two kids last year at school. I have the utmost respect for military families.
