I joined the forum today.  I was looking for sympathy, understanding...folks who KNOW how annoying, painful, frustrating and tedious this stupid arthritis can be.  I have Ankylsong Spondalitis, RA, Osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis.  I'm a mess.  There is a low pressure system moving in and I am so affected by the weather it's just terrible.  I'm pouting big time because I had several errands/shopping kinda things I wanted to do but I just hurt so bad, even after a half/vicodin..I hadda come home.  On a bright side the errands I did get done was to the library so I have 5 new books and a bunch of old magazines to cut up for my collage projects, I went to MICHAELS (craft store) and got oil pastels, chalk pastels, soft pastels, and clay to play artist.  On the plus side, I still had a gift visa card I got from my ex co-workers for my birthday last Sept. so I got all that artsy stuff on the card. (I say ex co-workers because I was laid off last month).  And that's why I'm MAD and depressed too.  All that new art stuff and my hands hurt so bad....arghghghhghgh...ARTHRITIS SUCKS!Hi Mary, I too just joined the site. I am desperately looking for help and others to talk with. I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, DDD and spinal stenosis. A year ago I had surgery @ L4/L5. A decompression and fusion. Now the rods are loose at the L5 level because S1 has deteroaited so much. My entire spine is taken over with the arthritis and it hurts to breath at times. All of a sudden it is also in my shoulders. It hurts to the point of tears. I do have vicodin and it helps some. My doc also gave me tramadal. I don't take the two together. I am not sure that would be good.?? I am sorry to hear of your pain. It does suck and to think there is no cure! Yes, the weather is a major contributor to the pain. YUK! I am wishing you all the best. I am trying to figure this site out and need to know how to write and ask for help out there. I will keep trying. Hang in there and hope you feel better.
